DENPASAR (Jakarta Post) : Bali-based painter Yan Suryana, 52, says he has received several offers to exhibit his works abroad.
"I have some offers to conduct exhibitions in European countries and China in 2008, but I have yet to decide whether to accept the offers or not," he said as quoted by Antara on Thursday.
He said he first had to finish some of his paintings.
"Actually I have enough paintings for exhibitions abroad, but I still need to think about it first because I need to prepare it thoroughly," said the artist, who is originally from Bandung, West Java.
Yan, who have lived in Petulu village, Ubud, for years has held exhibitions in New York and several European cities. He has sold more than 300 paintings to private collectors and museums.
Yan said most of his paintings were about Balinese daily life, and activities, arts and culture on the island.
