U.S. citizens in Bali celebrate election outcomes

Scores of American residents and tourists in Bali gathered at a Sanur cafe, Denpasar, on Wednesday to watch the tallies mount in the U.S. national elections on a wide screen TV monitor. 

"The winner of the race will be announced later today," U.S. deputy consul in Surabaya Chris Santoro told tempointeraktif.com. 

He said most of those who have gathered at the cafe had submitted their votes in advance of the day's ballot-casting. 

"This kind of event is spontaneously being held in other cities," he said, adding the event would run through the day.
