The Indonesian and Australia governments have signed an agreement to give working and holiday visas for citizens who fulfil all requirements, state news agency Antara reports.
Such agreement is part of the Memorandum of Understanding inked between Indonesia's Justice and Human Rights Minister Andi Mattalatta and Australia's Immigration and Citizenship Minister Chris Evans on Tuesday in Jakarta.
Andi said that the visas would be helpful for both Indonesian and Australian citizens who often travel to the countries for working or holiday purposes.
“All citizens must fulfill all requirements to obtain the visas and we expect such agreement is an investment for both countries in the future,”Evans said.
Australian and Indonesian single citizens aged between 18 and 30 years old can apply for the visas, which are valid for 12 months. Both governments issue 100 visas each year. (ewd)
