JAKARTA, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian and Malaysian senior officials at ministerial level witnessed the signing of a brotherhood alliance which aims at preserving peace between the two neighboring countries, the Bisnis Indonesia reported here on Monday.
The alliance, called Persaudaraan Serumpun Indonesia Malaysia (PSIM), was initiated by Indonesian and Malaysian alumni forum of ESQ Leadership Center.
Ary Ginanjar Agustian, Chairman of ESQ International alumni communication forum, said the establishment of PSIM is aimed at cultivating the spiritual relationship between peoples of the two neighboring countries.
"Spiritual relationship is eternal and invulnerable. It could not sway if a problem occurs in the relationship of the two countries. The alliance establishment is genuinely initiated by both the peoples in Malaysia and Indonesia," Ary said on the sidelines of the pact signing here.
Indonesian Manpower Minister Muhaimin Iskandar said the establishment of the PSIM alliance marks a new history in the milestone of Indonesia-Malaysia relationship.
"Spiritual relationship would unite the people in the two countries toward an eternal brotherhood. It would be meaningful ifit is initiated by the people themselves," Muhaimin said.
