New Year’s Dip attracts Indonesian students

Radio Netherlands Worldwide, 1 January 2010 - 3:33pm, by Sigrid Deters

More than 8600 people took part in this year’s New Year’s Dip, the 50th of its kind, at Scheveningen beach, close to The Hague. They braved a temperature of just four degrees Celsius. Joining the plunging crowd this year were a group of Indonesian students, with enough courage to take on the chilly challenge.
