The ministry has since 2002 presented the award, named after former foreign minister and journalist Adam Malik, to print and electronic media, news agencies and individual journalists for their coverage on foreign affairs and their contribution to the improvement of Indonesian diplomacy.
Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa conferred the award during a foreign policy breakfast at his office.
Other winners were Metro TV, which won the award in the electronic media category, Antara state news agency and Sinar Harapan journalist Natalia Santi.
