JAKARTA (Antara): Most muslims in Indonesia performed the Idul Fitri prayers on Saturday to celebrate the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadhan.
In Jakarta, the Idul Fitri prayer was centered at Istiqlal Grand Mosque and attended by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
In Yogyakarta, Governor Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X and his family members held the Idul Fitri prayer in Jami Wates Mosque.
In Jayapura, all Idul Fitri prayers were moved to mosques from the scheduled open fields as the fields were still wet due to heavy rain on Friday night.
