“As we all know, 60th Asian-African Conference Commemoration is the right moment to remind the world that we played a significant role at that time. And, we hope that the memory and the legacy rise again,” said President Jokowi, as he is commonly known, at the meeting in Presidential Office in Jalan Veteran, Jakarta, on Friday (1/9).
AACC2015, Jakarta – Indonesian President Joko Widodo held closed meeting
to discuss Asian-African Conference Commemoration which will be held in
Bandung, West Java, Indonesia.

“As we all know, 60th Asian-African Conference Commemoration is the right moment to remind the world that we played a significant role at that time. And, we hope that the memory and the legacy rise again,” said President Jokowi, as he is commonly known, at the meeting in Presidential Office in Jalan Veteran, Jakarta, on Friday (1/9).
According
to Mr. Jokowi, Indonesia must organize the Asian-African Conference
Commemoration carefully. The committee must prepare accommodation, logistic,
security protocol, and medical staff. “We have only three months for
preparation,” he said.
Numerous
ministers from his Working Cabinet attended the closed meeting, among others
Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Coordinating Minister for Economic
Affairs Sofyan Djalil, Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo, Minister of
State Secretariat Pratikno, and Secretary of Cabinet Andi Widjajanto. The
Governor of Jakarta Special Capital Region Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, better known
as Ahok, Vice Governor of West Java Deddy Mizwar, and the Mayor of Bandung
Ridwan Kamil, better known as Emil, also attended the meeting. (Translator:
